A lot of our work at the beginning of the year centers around getting to know each other; after all, we'll be spending a lot of time together this year! We play a lot of name games so the students can learn each other's names, and we use this as a chance to incorporate Bible lessons on creation: God made each of us special, just as He made this entire wonderful world!
Say cheese!!!
One of our devotional books ends with each of the students hugging a friend; it's always so sweet!
We also began the alphabet ... letter A, of course! Ripping paper into small pieces is great for building their finger muscles, which in turn helps with fine motor skills.
Self portraits ... as done by three-year-olds! :)
