Getting to know each other ... and the alphabet

A lot of our work at the beginning of the year centers around getting to know each other; after all, we'll be spending a lot of time together this year! We play a lot of name games so the students can learn each other's names, and we use this as a chance to incorporate Bible lessons on creation: God made each of us special, just as He made this entire wonderful world!

Say cheese!!!

One of our devotional books ends with each of the students hugging a friend; it's always so sweet!

We also began the alphabet ... letter A, of course! Ripping paper into small pieces is great for building their finger muscles, which in turn helps with fine motor skills.

Self portraits ... as done by three-year-olds! :)

As you can see, we're already having so much fun!

First Friday

We had a bigger group for Friday's phase-in day, but everyone did great, and I think for the first time ever, we had no tears at all! Here are some pictures from the day:

Snack time!

Grapes and goldfish ... yum!

As you can see, we like to take photos in K3!

These cuties played great together!

Fun in the outdoor school house!

Recess is always one of our favorite times of the day!

These two boys are cousins, and they are SO cute together!

We love this pretty girl already!
